Juve’s management is aiming to recruit fresh centre-backs to the squad in anticipation of De Ligt’s exit. As a result, they have been linked to names like Gabriel, Koulibaly, Milenkovic, and, most notably, Gleison Bremer. Bremer is a top target for Juventus to replace the departing Matthijs de Ligt. Last season, Bremer established himself as a Serie A standout. The Brazilian was a formidable force at the back for Torino, eventually winning the league’s best defender title.
As a consequence, the 25-year-old is now ready to develop his career by joining one of the top teams in the world. Other European heavyweights, most notably Inter Milan, who are presently leading the race, are also pushing for his signing. However, Juventus were also interested, and the potential move of Matthijs de Ligt may push the club’s management to go all-in on the Torino star, bringing him to the opposite side of the city.
According to Romeo Agresti, Torino also understands that the departure of de Ligt would compel Juve to pursue Bremer, which is why Torino is taking their time dealing with Inter for Bremer in order to generate a bidding war for Bremer. This may benefit Juve because Inter are unwilling to spend more than 30 million.
