Report: Juventus are interested in Everton’s Abdoulaye Doucoure

Juventus are interested in 29-year-old Everton and Mali midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure, according to Calciomercatoweb.
Abdoulaye Doucoure’s contract at Goodison Park is about to expire at the end of the season, however, Everton have the option to renew his contract for another season — if it is not activated, Juventus would try to secure his move.
Juventus are looking to sign another midfielder, since Paul Pogba who is yet to play a single game this season due to injury remains sidelines and McKennie could leave this January.
If McKennie leaves, amid Bournemouth interest, Juventus will sign another midfielder to ensure that they continue to put pressure on the teams that are above them in Serie A.
Another reason they are looking for another midfielder is that Adrien Rabiot’s future is still uncertain. Should the Frenchman confirm his desire to not extend and leave the club, Doucoure’s file will be fast tracked and his situation will be followed even more closely.
There are no talks between Juventus and Everton or Doucoure so far.
Doucoure played 30 Premier League games last term and 29 in the prior season but so far the Mali international has only played eight games and started just two Premier League games.
