Memphis Depay is reportedly keen on leaving Barcelonathis summer, having fallen down the pecking order under Xavi, and the likes of Arsenal, Juventus, Newcastle United and Everton are all interested in him.

According to a report from super deporte, the Dutchman’s future at Barca is getting ‘increasingly up in the air’, and a return to the Premier League interests him a great deal.

Memphis has lost his place under Xavi, especially with the form of new signings Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ferran Torres and Adama Traore, who have all hit the ground running immediately, leading to numerous clubs being interested in signing him if he is available this summer.

Depay was a favourite under former manager Ronald Koeman, but he has constantly been put on the bench under Xavi.

There is no shortage of options for him if he does leave, and he is keen to prove himself in the Premier League after his struggles at Manchester United.

Arsenal, Newcastle and Everton have all already ‘asked about him’, while it still remains uncertain whether Italian side Juventus are able to finance a move for him, with their funds being quite a problem right now.

With Juve practically ruled out of a deal, the Premier League sides will feel an immense boost in terms of their chances of signing him, especially Arsenal, who want an experienced forward after letting go of Aubameyang, with their other forward options in Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah both having their contracts expire at the end of this season.

On the other hand, Newcastle would love to make a high-profile signing like Depay, and they do have the funds available to sign him.

However, the Magpies have recently bought Chris Wood, and they still have Callum Wilson in their squad, so it is still unclear whether they will want to sign another forward ahead of other areas of the pitch.

The least likely of the moves seems to be Everton, as apart from them not having the funds available for a transfer or to pay him the wages he wants, the club is currently in a precarious position in the league, and he probably wouldn’t want that sort of uncertainty at this stage of his career.

Despite this, Everton remain keen on him, and they have reportedly made enquiries, along with Arsenal and Newcastle, about a potential move in the summer.

While he has struggled this season, he is still the club’s top scorer in all competitions with ten goals, but he hasn’t started in La Liga since December, and while he has had some injuries since then, other players have benefitted from his absence, which might push him over the edge to seal a move away.
