Report: Juventus are set to target these three players in this summer’s mercato
With the winter transfer market honeymoon over, Juventus are planning to continue to improve the squad and get ready for the upcoming summer market. The idea for management is to replace aging players and other members dealing with injuries. According to ilBiancoNero, Juventus have three priorities for the summer, Paul Pogba, Alexander Lacazette, and Destiny Udogie.
Pogba is out of contract this summer and will have plenty of clubs after his signature this summer. The French midfielder could make a dream return to Turin and would fit into the midfield with ease. The only issue would be his current salary which Juventus would not be willing to pay and he would have to take a pay cut for a return.
Allegri wants an experienced striker to backup Dusan Vlahovic, someone like Lacazette, who is also a free agent this summer, that could fill the role. The backup role is independent of the futures of Alvaro Morata and Paulo Dybala.
Alex Sandro is getting closer and closer to the exit door as he continues to give less than mediocre performances. The 19-year-old Italian Destiny Udogie has been identified as the potential future of the left-back position for Juventus. Udogie is having a good season on loan at Udinese with two goals and an assist so far. The left-back fits the new transfer policy, young, low wages, and Italian.
Management is currently dealing with contract renewals before they start their advancement in the market. With returning loan players and potential outgoing players, this summer will be decisive for the final pieces of the Juventus puzzle to be put together to become dominant in Serie A and Europe once again.
