Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is currently at the World Cup with Serbia. The player has long been in Juventus’ sights and the parties seemed to be very close. His contract expires this summer and therefore Lazio are at a crossroads, sell him in these transfer market this January or in the summer or try to start negotiations for the renewal or lose him for free?

Initially it seemed Lazio was going towards a contract extension, then the situation changed and Juventus was introduced. But Now a new club has emerged, as according to what Marca reports indicate that Real Madrid is now interested which could set off a bidding war. Of course Juventus will not pay Lazio’s €100M asking price, but if Madrid enter the race, it will be interesting to see how much Juventus would be willing to spend for a player has so far not impressed with Serbia at the FIFA World Cup.
