I can’t tell you how many times I wrote articles and put out tweets in the last year about how Dybala’s agent was flying to Torino from Argentina, and either it was to negotiate or in some cases, like just last month, the ever reliable Romeo Agresti, confidently tweeting that the deal was done, and all that was missing is the signature of Paulo. And even through all that, I couldn’t help but think, that maybe Agresti was getting used by the club, to put out information that they wanted the public or even Dybala himself would think was true, to keep people happy and Paulo focused on being a professional and giving his best performance every time he was on the pitch.
We will surely find out if Romeo Agresti is right or not and maybe as early as the end of this month, as it’s being report by Tuttomaercatoweb.com that After the board meeting on Wednesday, Juve will then set a new meeting with Dybala for his contract renewal. The website is also reporting that the topic of Dybala has been a very delicate one because of all his recent injuries over the past couple of seasons. It’s also being reported that the next offer is a significantly lower one as well, with Juventus now only willing to give him €7M per season with €3M in performance bonuses. Even if Dybala were to hit his bonuses, he would still be making less the €11M he is making right now. Of course it’s also been reported that if Dybala were to leave, Inter would be his biggest and best option financially.
It’s no secret that Dybala future in Turin is unsure, as journalist Luca Bianchin told Max Statman: “The only serious thing to say is Juventus will meet the agent and talk about the deal. No one can be sure if Dybala will continue playing for Juve or not at the moment.”
If they chose not to sign Dybala Juventus have already had contacts with the agent of Zaniolo in December, La Gazzetta Dello Sport already reported . Both the Bianconeri and Max Allegri like the Roma play. And the Juve coach has done so for a long time. It won’t be easy for the Old Lady, because Roma view Zaniolo as a key player in their project and he has a contract until June 2024. Zaniolo’s name seems to keep getting linked with Juventus every year.
