Ajax is set to sell the player this summer if a deal can’t be reached with the player.
Aurélien Tchouameni of Monaco was always seen as the first option, but with competition extremely high for the young Frenchman, it seems the Bianconeri have turned their attention towards the 19 Year old Dutchman born in Amsterdam, to be one of the solutions in the midfield after fixing their attacking problems with the signing of Dusan Vlahovic.
According to transformarket.com the player is valued at around €40M and reports are indicating that that is the exact bid they will be making in trying to acquire Gravenberch, who hails from the highly touted Ajax academy and made his way up the Junior levels where he also won the Abdelhak Nouri award, which recognize the best talent in all of the academy.
Gravenberch also owns the record for youngest player to ever make an appearance in Hollands Premier Division, when on September 23 2018, he came on in a 3-0 loss to PSV, passing the legend Clarence Seedorf by 112 days. He was first called up for his home nation in November of 2020 but didn’t make his first appearance until March 24 2021 when he came on in a World Cup Qualifier against Turkey. Later that year, Gravenerch scored his first ever goal for the Netherlands in a 3-0 win against Georgia.
Update:
According to CalcioMercato.com, Juventus have intensified contacts with Ajax and has gone beyond the simple request for information. Juve have a desire to make an official offer now which would exceeded around €25M with bonuses. A figure not considered sufficient by Ajax, which does not seem willing to let Gravenberch leave for less than €35M.
