Report: Mohamed Ihattaren close to joining FC Utrecht on loan for longer period

Dutch club FC Utrecht want to loan Mohamed Ihattaren for 1.5 years, according to the Eindhovens Dagblad. Ihattaren was loaned out to Sampdoria during the first half of the season, but disappeared from Italy without having played a single minute.

Multiple reports from Italy confirmed the news that Juvents had contacts with FC Utrecht about a possible deal. It was initially said Ihattaren would join FC Utrecht until the end of the season. Very reliable journalist Rik Elfrink of the Eindhovens Dagblad now says a longer period is on the table.

Juventus bought Ihattaren last summer for €1.9M from Dutch club PSV Eindhoven and is now likely to return to the Netherlands. Ihattaren was born in Utrecht, but never played for the football club.
