The Italian law enforcement agency Guardia di Finanza is still investigating the financial records of Juventus. La Stampa reported that on the orders of the magistrates Marco Gianoglio, Ciro Santoriello, and Mario Bendoni that new searches were conducted into the investigation at the Turin prosecutor’s office.

The searches found the agreement back in March 2020 when players and technical staff had agreed to a deferment of their salary payments for the months of April, May, and June during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Juventus agreed that if competitions started again during that season, the payments would be renegotiated again but according to the prosecutors, the financial records were omitting the context of the debt positions in the financial statements.

Juventus have been the subject of accusations all season as reported last year when Inter Milan, Napoli, and Juventus were investigated for inflating player values during sales. The Bianconeri were not found guilty of the accusation. The Old Lady will hope for the same outcome with the new investigation and to continue on until the end of the season.
