Report: Rabiot’s future at Juventus hangs in the balance
Adrien Rabiot has been the talk of the town recently. The Frenchman scored in the 52nd minute to give France the lead against Croatia on matchday 2 of the Nations League.
Lately a few reports suggested that English clubs like Man United and Chelsea have shown concrete interest in Rabiot. With the player’s contract expiring in 2023, it’s safe to assume the midfielder could be on a move.
Recently in an interview, Rabiot talked about his future at the club. The player said, “I am under contract with Juventus and there is nothing to indicate that I will leave. The World Cup is not something that would affect my choice”.
It’s no surprise that Rabiot has contributed a lot to the national team and the club. The question is, Is it enough to keep him at the club ? The eminent signing of Pogba in the Summer transfer window puts Rabiot’s future with the Bianconeri in doubt.
Allegri immensely relied on Rabiot this season. But inconsistency has been a major issue. The player made 45 appearances for the club in the 2021-22 season, recorded 2 assists but failed to find back of the net. Looking from the club’s perspective, it would be delusional to think that Adrien is non transferable.
A little while back Romeo Agresti reported that, there will be a meeting between Juventus and Rabiot’s entourage in the next few days to discuss the situation.
Whether the deal goes through or Rabiot stays, is something to look out for in the upcoming weeks. Max Statman would keep you updated with the latest developments.
