The official status is still unconfirmed, but Paulo Dybala is now a Roma player. The Argentine striker departed Juve as a free agent after seven years, eventually accepting the offer of Josè Mourinho’s Giallorossi, who are also dealing with another issue that is heating up this session of the summer market, the future of Nicol Zaniolo. In fact, the playmaker born in 1999 could take the opposite path as Joya, joining the Juventus club, which has been following him for years since the time of Fabio Paraticiand and his famous “pizzino,” and in recent weeks has appeared closer than ever to closing the deal, thus satisfying the same player who, for his part, has never hidden his desire to marry the Old Lady.
And Dybala’s arrival in the capital could play a significant role in pushing Zaniolo to Turin. Juve’s proposal to Friedkin is well known; it falls somewhere between an onerous loan (10) and the right of redemption (40): Roma would like ten million more but cannot wait too long, also because of renewal, which is currently unmentioned, despite fans’ dreams of seeing a stellar offensive department in action with the 1993 class, the blue, and Abraham.
According to Tuttosport, in the face of a significant signing like that of the Argentine striker, the Giallorossi management may now relax their attitude and drop requests in order to close the gap with the Bianconeri, at least in part. Which, now, thanks to the proceeds from the sale of Matthijs De Ligt, has the potential to really sink the blow.
