Dusan Vlahovic has consistently embodied the spirit of a true striker for Juventus – putting his head down, scoring goals, and delivering impactful performances.
However, the 24-year-old Serbian forward has also found himself at the center of criticism at times, something journalist Romeo Agresti, fiercely defends.
“I have a bit of a bone to pick when it comes to DV9,” Romeo Agresti stated firmly. “He has been subjected to excessive criticism on various occasions, which I believe is simply unwarranted.”
Despite facing criticism, Vlahovic has remained a crucial figure for Juventus. He has repeatedly stepped up in critical matches, bagging crucial goals that have kept the Bianconeri in the race.

However, the club’s recent descent into a negative spiral has inevitably impacted the striker’s individual performances.
“It’s no secret that Vlahovic has consistently delivered his part of the bargain,” Agresti emphasized. “But when the team is struggling, it becomes incredibly challenging for any individual player to truly shine.”
Adding another layer of intrigue to the story is Vlahovic’s contract renewal saga. Agresti suggest that the striker could potentially earn a staggering €12 million annually, a figure that seemingly contradicts the club’s newly implemented sustainability policy.
“In the ever-revolving world of football transfers, you can never truly say never,” Agresti cautioned. “Vlahovic, at the young age of 24, is a prolific goalscorer, and surprisingly, this past summer didn’t see any substantial offers materialize from top-tier clubs.
“The only concrete interest came from Chelsea, amidst the Lukaku situation, but ultimately, no agreement was reached.”
With the future shrouded in uncertainty, one thing remains clear: Dusan Vlahovic possesses undeniable talent and immense potential.
However, to truly flourish and reach his full potential, he will likely require the support of a strong and well-performing team around him.
Only time will tell whether he chooses to remain at Juventus and navigate the storm alongside them, or embark on a new chapter at a different club.
