Juventus will face Sampdoria in the Supercoppa Italiana match tomorrow, and manager Massimiliano Allegri has spoke to reporters in the pre-match press conference.

Daniele Rugani appeared to be the only centre back available tomorrow, with Matthijs de Ligt, Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci all ruled out.

After a 2-0 win against Udinese in the league on Sunday, The Bianconeri will be hoping to keep their form against Sampdoria.

Here’s everything Massimiliano Allegri said

“We must try to qualify, go to the quarters. It will be a game like any other, difficult: if faced in a certain way it will be easy, otherwise it will be difficult. The Italian Cup counts a lot, it’s a goal. At first nobody cares, then everyone is interested in the quarterfinals. We must be interested immediately.

“Sampdoria has changed coaches, you have to be even more careful. We come from an intense period of games, we have to make one last effort and then focus on the match with the Milan.”

On rotations and team news

“There were rotations against Udinese. I changed six players compared to Inter. Tomorrow I will evaluate as well: Matthijs De Ligt is disqualified , Chiellini is not 100% fit and Bonucci is not available.

“Sampdoria play a game of pride: when there’s a change of coach, even if D’Aversa’s replacement hasn’t arrived yet, it’s up to us to play a fair, aggressive game. They have good players up front: Quagliarella, Gabbiadini, Caputo.”

On Saturday’s game against Udinese

“We were a mature team in the first half with patience, conceding a little. In the second we have granted something, it can fit but we must have a different attitude.

Finally, on the previous editions of the Italian Cup won with Juventus

“I carry all four in my heart, but I think of the one with the Lazio: double pole and then marked Matri But they are all beautiful to remember.”
