Davide Frattesi has drawn interest from top-flight club Juventus, according to reports.
Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali confirmed the club’s star player is ready for a move to a top club this summer, with hopes of selling him to an Italian side.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport ahead of today’s match between Sassuolo and Juventus he confirmed the Bianconeri’s interest in the midfielder.
“Juventus are among the clubs interested in Frattesi. He is ready to play in a top club this summer. We hope to sell him to an Italian club,” said Carnevali.
Frattesi’s potential move to Juventus is aimed at bolstering their midfield, as uncertainties surround the future of Adrien Rabiot.
The French midfielder’s contract expires at the end of the season, with reports suggesting that negotiations on a contract extension are proving difficult.
The club plans to hold talks with Rabiot’s agent later this month.
Meanwhile, Juventus is expected to pass on Leandro Paredes, who is set to return to Paris Saint-Germain following a loan spell.
Instead, the club is turning its attention towards Nicolo Rovella, who is expected to return from his loan stint at Monza.
Rovella has had a standout season in Serie A, and his return to Juventus could further strengthen their midfield options.
