On January 12th of this upcoming New Year, Coppa Italia winners Juventus were supposed to take on Scudetto winners Inter in the annual Super Coppa Final that was supposed to take place at the San Siro in Milan.

Confirmation of the postponement was reported earlier today by journalist Romeo Agresti, and in the hour since the news first broke, reports are indicating that the reason for the postponement is due to rising COVID cases and the Italian government recently announcing that all Italian league matches must be played at 50% capacity.

To avoid having to refund tickets, organizers thought it would be best to move the match to a later month when restrictions can be lifted and the stadiums again can go back to full capacity.

No official date has been given as of now for the rescheduling of the match, but it is believed that it will be played some time in the begging or middle of spring.
