The complete list of Juventus’ summer midfield targets

It is no surprise that Juventus’ midfield has been the biggest problem in the last few seasons. The Old Lady used to have some of the best players occupying the midfield during the 2010s from Pirlo-Vidal-Marchisio-Pogba who were all world-class and Pjanic-Khedira-Matuidi who gave their all for their position.
The free-agent signings of Ramsey and Rabiot have not worked out as the old management had planned and the swap deal between Miralem Pjanic and Arthur has not favored either team when there were high expectations for the Brazilian to change the midfield. With the current season, the additions of Manuel Locatelli and Denis Zakaria were a definite improvement but there is still a missing piece.
Maurizio Arrivabene, Federico Cherubini, and Pavel Nedved are already working on the goal to reinforce the midfield with a great signing. Working together with Head Coach Massimiliano Allegri they have compiled a list of names that could fit into the midfield.
Paul PogbaMany fans and Juventus dream of the return of the Frenchman. Pogba’s contract expires with Manchester United this summer and will be available as a free agent. The interest between the 29-year-old and Juventus is mutual, but his salary is the biggest concern for management.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic
With every new transfer window, the news that Juventus want the Serbian begins to circulate again. This year could finally be the year as Juventus are intensifying their interest. Milinkovic-Savic earns 3.2 million euros a year at Lazio, which is no problem for the Bianconeri. The problem is Lazio president Claudio Lotito who is asking for 100 million euros to sell the midfielder whose contract expires in 2024.
Youri Tielemens
The Belgian has matured and developed into a great player with the foxes of Leicester. Management has kept an eye on him for some time and with his contract expiring in 2023, they feel this could be the right moment for him to take his next step in club football.
Frenkie De Jong
A former teammate of Matthijs de Ligt at Ajax, Juventus is monitoring the Dutchman’s situation at FC Barcelona. The player has been an important piece to Xavi’s team since he took over the Spanish club midseason. However, rumors say that De Jong’s entourage is upset with the signing of Franck Kessie and is hoping for reassurance. The 24-year-old’s contract expires in 2026.
Renato Sanches
The Portuguese has found his form again after leaving Bayern Munich and going to his current club LOSC Lille. AC Milan is currently ahead of the Old Lady as they have wanted the player for some time now.
Jorginho
The Italian is another name like Milinkovic-Savic whose name circulates the media during the transfer windows. Jorginho’s contract expires in 2023 but the issue is that Chelsea cannot buy or sell anyone until the club is sold due to the sanctions placed on them because of the Russian owner.
Ryan Gravenberch
Another Dutch talent from Ajax is on the Juventus wish list. According to ilbianconeri, Gravenberch is the only midfield that Juventus has submitted an offer for, but the player prefers to go to Bayern Munich who is currently in negotiations with Ajax for the midfielder.
Julian WeiglThe German is a new name in recent days due to his agent’s visit to Italy and meeting with management. He is one of the main reasons for Benfica’s success in the Champions League and the Portuguese club will only sell the player for an offer of around 40 million euros.
