Mo ShakeelOnly a couple of months before the mercato opens again, After a joyful January for Juventini, the fans are hoping for the same from the club. The management are already assessing names to reinforce different positions during the summer transfer window.
Here are the four positions Juventus are ready to reinforce:
Juve’s first priority this summer is to sign a top midfielder, no doubt about that. Several big names have been linked to Juventus as such Serej Milinkovic Savic, Jorginho, Pogba, Frankie De Jong and Carlos Soler.
Sergej Milinkovic Savic seems to be the goal for the summer and according to Giovanni Albanese, Lazio are open to sell Milinkovic Savic in the summer. The problem the club can face is financially, it remains to be seen if Juventus can make a big splash on a single player again as they did in January.
Paul Pogba seems to be always linked with Juventus, Paul’s contract with Man Utd ends in the summer and he’s not made any decision on his future and is unlikely to do so till the end of the current season. It remains to be seen if Juve are willing to bring Paul Pogba back, it’s looking unlikely as Milinkovic Savic seems to be the priority.
Jorginho, a bit like Pogba, is always linked with Juventus as well. His agent has expressed the Italian’s desire to come back to Serie A multiple times but any deal is difficult at the moment due to Chelsea’s inability to sign or sell players.
Frankie De Jong seems to be unrealistic, Barcelona have not made any intention to sell the dutch midfielder. De jong is under a long term contract and signing him would cost more than Milinkovic Savic would.
Carlos Soler is another name linked to Juventus, the Valencia midfielder contract runs out in 2023 with no agreement reached on an extension. Juventus are mentioned as one of the clubs keeping an eye on his situation. Valencia could sell him for €20-25M.
With Dybala and Bernardeschi leaving and uncertainty around Alvaro Morata and Moise Kean’s future, the Bianconeri will need to reinforce the attacking department. Nicolo Zaniolo of As Roma and Giacomo Raspadori are the two names Juventus are monitoring for the summer. According to transfer journalist Fabiana Della Valle, Juventus have chosen Raspadori as a replacement of Paulo Dybala. Earlier today, transfer journalist Nicolo Schira announced that Raspadori would be extending his contract with Sassuolo till 2026. Fabiana also states that it would cost Juve around €30M to secure the services of Raspadori.
Zaniolo is however the more expensive option. Reportedly, AS Roma want atleast €60M for Zaniolo including bonuses. Zaniolo’s contract runs out in 2024 and no agreement has been reached over a renewal.
Raspadori and Zaniolo are the hottest names to reinforce the attack. Let’s see if we will have a surprise inclusion this summer.
With Giorgio Chiellini set to end his journey with the Bianconeri. The club are already looking for a centre back. Juventus have already made an offer to Antonio Rudiger, however there is no agreement between the two parties. Rudiger gives his priority to Chelsea. It will be a fierce battle for the German defender who is demanding crazy signing bonus of €25M.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic is the alternative to Toni Rudiger. Milenkovic contract ends in 2023 and he has a release clause of €15M active this summer.
Juventus are also looking to reinforce the full back positions. Juventus are assessing options for both right and left backs. For the right side, Bellanova of Cagliari and Molina of Udinise have been linked with the Bianconeri, while for the left side, Renan Lodi, Wijndal and Emerson Palmieri have been linked with the Turin club.
These are the four positions the Bianconeri are willing to reinforce in the upcoming transfer market.
