Paulo Dybala’s agent Jorge Antun arrived in Italy days ago but has yet to sit down around a table and resume negotiations. Last October, the forward and the management had agreed on a new €10M deal with only the signatures missing, but that deal is no longer on the table. Both parties intend to sit down again and talk about a new contract since the Argentine’s current deal expires this summer.
A meeting was scheduled to be on Thursday but Juventus management has asked the entourage of the player for a postponement until the international break so the club and the players can stay focused on the remaining matches of the month. It is still unclear how much the Old Lady will offer the forward but it will be less than the initial offer. The Serie A giants are either going to offer him his current €7M salary and added bonuses until 2026 or offer a slight pay cut, which increases the doubts about his renewal. Many clubs are interested in Dybala, such as Barcelona, Inter, and Atletico Madrid but his priority has always been Juventus.
Meanwhile, La Joya has recently resumed his training, increasing Allegri’s hopes of having him back. The mister had said after the win over Spezia, ‘’Dybala, I’m sorry about his absence. Fortunately, it shouldn’t be anything serious and I hope to have him against Villarreal. The club takes care of contracts, but there is no question about the technical qualities.” Hopefully, Dybala can stay healthy for the Champions League match next week.
