The significance of Vlahovic signing for the Juventus

The answer to this question is just one word – Hope. The signing of Dusan Vlahovic gives us hope that we could soon be on top again.

Standing 5th in the league, losing Super Coppa to Inter, Star player Chiesa being out for a long time due to injury and confusion regarding Dybala’s renewal, there was an air of negativity around the club. Nothing seemed to be going in our favour. And for the fans, there was nothing more disappointing and heartbreaking than seeing your beloved club perform below expectations.

Juventus hadn’t recovered from loss of Cristiano Ronaldo in the final days of the summer transfer window. It was evidently clear that the Bianconeri were in dire need of a forward player that could guarantee us ample goals every season.

“When everything seems to be going against you, that’s when you see the light”

28 January 2022, Juventus signed a man who shared his birthday with the Juve legend Gianluigi Buffon. Dusan Vlahovic was the man who showed us the light. He is the one who ignited passion and hope in the eyes of millions of Bianconeri fans around the world. Each and every fan knew that he was much needed at the moment. The club management did a commendable job in making this dream move come true with the limited resources they had post covid.

This signing is not just about welcoming the best forward in Italy to the club, it’s about looking towards the future with a squad full of best young talents.

Another incredible step was giving the No.7 to Vlahovic. Definitely it’s a start of a phenomenon. Moreover it’s a reminder to Vlahovic the huge responsibilities he has to shoulder as the star man of the club. It’s not just about scoring goals and winning each game, it’s about the mentality of working hard to win everything and getting back on top. The previous No. 7 became the fastest player to score 100 goals for the club. Now it’s time for Vlahovic to break that record and set new examples. Vlahovic wearing No. 7 is not just a great move in terms of brand aspect, it’s an amazing news for the fans who have a new player to look up to. The club has a new man to rely on. For Allegri it’s about a new young talent to nurture and to make sure he reaches great heights with the old lady.

Lastly but not the least, it’s a reminder for the fans that ‘This is Juventus’.

When Vlahovic’s agent was asked the reason why Dusan chose Juventus, he answered : “because Juventus is Juventus”

No matter what form we are in or what is our standing in the league, Juventus is still the biggest club in Italy. We are the club that every player desires. Signing Chiesa, Locatelli and Vlahovic in the span of 18 months is a reminder of our legacy and the power that Juve holds. While many clubs were in the race to sign Locatelli and Vlahovic, the players chose Juve. Ever so often when the going gets tough, the fans seem to forget the motto we have – Fino Alla Fine. It’s never over untill it’s over. The old lady has the grinta to stand up on it’s feet again despite all the obstacles that try to stop us. Signing Vlahovic is a live example that Juve never steps back.

We are such stuff that dreams are made of.’

And it’s not in our DNA to give up.

While the world rejoices on our new signing it’s time to look forward and aim for the top. Cause no matter where we stand or how we play, there’s only one thing to remember,

“Winning Isn’t Important for Juventus, it’s the Only Thing That Matters”.
