In a pivotal defensive move, Juventus Football Club proudly announces the official signing of Tiago Djalo.
The Portuguese talent, born in 2000, joins the ranks of the Bianconeri in a definitive transfer from LOSC Lille, committing to the iconic black and white until 2026. However, Mirko Di Natale reported an option until 2028.
Standing at an imposing height of over six feet, Tiago Djalo is not just a central defender renowned for his physical prowess but a versatile player capable of initiating plays—a skill honed during his youth career as a defensive midfielder.
Tiago’s footballing journey commenced in his native Portugal, under the banner of Sporting CP. However, the turning point came in January 2019 when the eighteen-year-old prodigy made his move to AC Milan.
Joining the Primavera youth team, he marked his presence with 15 appearances in the latter part of the 2018/2019 season. Italy bid farewell to him as he ventured to France, donning the colors of Lille until this latest transfer to Juventus.
During his tenure in Lille, the twenty-three-year-old defender showcased his mettle, accumulating a commendable 102 appearances across various competitions.
Noteworthy achievements include clinching the prestigious Ligue 1 title and a memorable French Super Cup victory against formidable opponents PSG. This period in Lille proved instrumental in Djalo’s technical growth and fortitude on the field.
Welcoming Tiago Djalo to the Juventus family, this defensive reinforcement undoubtedly strengthens the Bianconeri’s resolve as they continue their campaign in both domestic and international competitions.
