Villarreal defender Pau Torres on the verge of joining Juventus

Juventus is said to be close to securing a deal with Spanish footballer Pau Torres, according to the latest reports.

Pau Torres is highly regarded as one of the best central defenders in the world, with Tottenham having offered him a multimillion-euro deal two years ago, which he turned down to stay at Villarreal.

The Spanish international has prioritized playing in the Champions League with his hometown team, helping them reach the semifinals of the competition that season.

If Juventus successfully secures the deal with Torres, they will have to negotiate with Villarreal, who are aware of the significance of the offer and may be unable to keep hold of the talented defender.
