Juventus are yet to show signs of progress under Max Allegri so far this season. The Bianconeri are 8th in the league, 11 pts behind Napoli, Not only the results, the performances have also been absolutely abysmal so far this season, So this brings up the question if bringing Allegri back was a mistake?

Allegri without a doubt, did a great job in his first spell, winning 5 consecutive titles, 5 domestic cups and 2 Italian super-cups plus leading the club to two champions league final but couldn’t cross the finishing line but was bringing Allegri back necessary, below we discuss all the fragilities of Allegri’s game plan.

It starts with the formation in my opinion, 4-4-2 is clearly doesn’t look the style that favours the personal in the squad.

Secondly, the defensive back line, In my opinion, Juve’s defensive line is too deep and doesn’t allows the team to press and win the ball back quick. The distances between the lines of midfield and attack is too much and allows the team to play through their way and play on the front-foot.

The midfield condurum, Except Locatelli, everyone who has featured in the midfield has failed to impress. As soon as Mckennie had started showing signs of life alongside Locatelli in the double pivot in the middle of the park, Max Allegri pushed him to the right side against Chelsea and partnered Locatelli with Bentancuar. If we speak logically, Mckennie should have continued with Locatelli in centre of the midfield.

The next issue in my opinion is the most important and urgently needs to be resolved or else the season could be over before the new year and that is the left side of the midfield. Adrien Rabiot has featured mostly on the left side of the midfield this season and has failed miserably in that position. A human brain doesn’t have enough intelligence to understand what Allegri has seen in Rabiot to justify that he can feature on the left side of the midfield.

Juventus face Atalanta on the weekend and we as fans are hoping for a change in the formation, the personal and the approach but the chances of us getting that are very slim at the moment.
