Premier League club West Ham United has reportedly made the first move to secure the services of talented midfielder Denis Zakaria.
The Hammers have presented an initial offer of €18 million to Zakaria’s current club, with a proposed loan arrangement followed by a mandatory purchase option, subject to specific conditions.
However, Italian giants Juventus, who have also expressed interest in the Swiss international, are said to be seeking a higher fee.
The Turin-based club is reportedly asking for €22 million for Zakaria’s signature. Nevertheless, they are open to negotiating and could potentially settle for a fee of €20 million.
Juventus, known for their shrewd transfer dealings, have also outlined their preferred terms for a potential deal. They are reportedly interested in a loan arrangement with a fee of €5 million, followed by a buyout option set at €15 million.
Denis Zakaria has not been lucky since he went to Juventus from Borussia Monchengladback, where he was loaned to Chelsea but it did not go well and he returned to Juventus.
At the moment, it is said that he is no longer in the plans of Massimiliano Allegri and therefore Juventus is ready to release him to ensure that he gets the money to invest in buying other players.
