Koopmeiners could see new role as Tudor considers tactical shift for Inter match
Juventus coach Igor Tudor is reportedly considering several tactical changes ahead of Saturday’s crucial Derby d’Italia against Inter.
The Bianconeri are looking to find the right balance between defense and attack, utilizing the strengths of their new signings and established players.
One potential option is a switch to a 3-5-2 formation. This setup would allow Juventus to field two central strikers, with Jonathan David starting alongside either Dusan Vlahovic or Kenan Yildiz.
The formation would also increase midfield density, which could be key to containing Inter’s counter-attacks.
Another alternative is the 3-4-1-2, which would see Yildiz play as an attacking midfielder behind two strikers. The striking pair could be David and Vlahovic, or David and LoĆÆs Openda, giving Tudor several options depending on player form and fitness.
This formation would create numerical superiority between the lines and capitalize on David’s movement and Yildiz’s creativity.
Koopmeiners Set for a Potential Role Change

According to the Corriere dello Sport, there’s a new possibility emerging for midfielder Teun Koopmeiners. In the event that Francisco Conceicao is unavailable for the match against Inter, Koopmeiners could be deployed as an attacking midfielder.
While the Dutch international has primarily been used as a central midfielder in the first two matches of the season, Tudor is reportedly considering moving him higher up the field. This would leverage Koopmeiners’s offensive quality and his ability to link up with the strikers.
Ultimately, Tudor’s final tactical decisions will depend on the physical condition of his players and what he observes in the final training sessions before the match.
He must find a balance between utilizing a two-striker formation and preventing Inter from exploiting any open spaces.
