Tottenham & Newcastle ready to move €35M Juventus star
Juventus defender Federico Gatti could be on the move this summer, with Tottenham and Newcastle leading the race.
Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are closely monitoring Federico Gatti, a 26-year-old central defender from Juventus, as he faces an uncertain future in Italy.
Sources tell CaughtOffside that Gatti is open to a move to the Premier League, where several clubs are showing interest.
Along with Spurs and Newcastle, West Ham, Aston Villa, and Nottingham Forest have also expressed curiosity about his availability.
Gatti has had a decent amount of playing time at Juventus, but he wants more consistency in the starting XI. While there have been early talks about a new contract, it’s unclear if he will commit to staying in Turin.
Juventus are also under financial pressure and may be willing to sell Gatti for around €35 million.
Both Tottenham and Newcastle are prepared to make a move if Gatti decides not to extend his stay in Italy. He fits the profile of a tough, reliable defender qualities both clubs are looking to add this summer.
Even with Ange Postecoglou recently sacked as Spurs manager, Gatti remains a top target for the North London side, showing that club officials are committed to pursuing him regardless of who takes charge next.
