Juventus reportedly interested in Premier League coach
Italian football club Juventus is reportedly looking at Marco Silva, the current manager of Fulham, as a possible new head coach. This comes after they were unable to sign their preferred candidates.
Juventus has had an unstable season. After firing Thiago Motta in March, they brought in Igor Tudor temporarily. However, the club is not sure if Tudor will stay after the Club World Cup.
The team had hoped Antonio Conte would come back, but he decided to stay with Napoli, especially after leading them to the Serie A title. Another option, Gian Piero Gasperini, recently signed a three-year deal with Roma.
With top options unavailable, Juventus has turned to Marco Silva. The Portuguese coach helped Fulham finish 11th in the English Premier League this season.
Silva has managed several clubs in the past, including Sporting CP, Olympiacos, Hull City, Watford, and Everton. He joined Fulham in 2021 and still has a contract until June 2026.
Although Silva has experience, his name has surprised many fans, who were expecting a bigger name. Some Juventus supporters may not be pleased if he gets the job.
Silva will turn 48 years old in July.
