Pioli could be the next Juventus coach after Conte and Gasperini say no
Juventus is facing a leadership dilemma just weeks before the Club World Cup, after being snubbed by both Antonio Conte and Gian Piero Gasperini.
In response, club boss John Elkann has convened an emergency meeting in Munich to resolve the coaching and sporting director situation.
The meeting includes new club officials Damien Comolli and Giorgio Chiellini and is being held on the sidelines of the Champions League final between PSG and Inter.
Juventus has made initial indirect contact with Stefano Pioli, currently under contract with Al-Nassr until 2027.
Comolli is tasked with determining whether to accelerate talks or explore other names still under consideration, including Marco Silva and Roberto Mancini.
Interestingly, Atalanta has also shown interest in Pioli following Gasperini’s confirmed move to Roma. Meanwhile, Thiago Motta, a former Juventus player, is reportedly also admired by the club.
The summit will also address Juventus’ technical and market operations. Comolli is set to become general director with a hands-on market role but will likely be supported by a dedicated sporting director.
