Juventus’ top transfer targets remain out of reach for Spalletti

Luciano Spalletti is still waiting for Juventus to complete two of the club’s main transfer targets, Emiliano Martรญnez and Randal Kolo Muani, but negotiations for both players remain at a standstill.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have yet to address two key priorities ahead of the new season: signing a new goalkeeper and bringing in a striker.

With the start of pre-season training approaching, neither deal has been completed. The Bianconeri continue to work on a move for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martรญnez.

Juventus have reportedly reached a basic agreement with the Argentine, but the main obstacle remains Aston Villa’s valuation. The Italian club are not willing to spend more than โ‚ฌ7 million, making an agreement difficult at this stage.

Guglielmo Vicario remains an alternative option, although he is not believed to be Juventus’ preferred choice.

In attack, Kolo Muani remains the club’s top target. During recent discussions involving Giovanni Carnevali, technical director Ricky Massara and Spalletti, the French forward was confirmed as the preferred option to lead the attack next season.

However, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are still some distance apart in negotiations. The Bianconeri are reportedly offering โ‚ฌ40 million for the striker, while PSG are holding out for โ‚ฌ50 million.

The two negotiations are closely linked. Juventus are aware that spending too much on a goalkeeper could reduce the funds available for a new striker, forcing the club to carefully manage its budget.

The delays are a concern for Spalletti, who had hoped to have key reinforcements available from the first days of pre-season training.

While Juventus continue to back young prospect Ekhator, the club knows additional experience and quality are needed to strengthen the squad.

Both Martรญnez and Kolo Muani are said to be open to a move to Turin, but their clubs remain firm in negotiations.

As a result, Juventus are still waiting for progress while continuing to work on player sales and squad restructuring ahead of the new campaign.
