With less than 10 days left until Aston Villa’s deadline of June 30th to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, the future of Douglas Luiz is the subject of much speculation.
The Brazilian midfielder is eager to leave Aston Villa and join Juventus, and a deal is close to being finalized.
Luiz has already agreed to personal terms with Juventus on a 4-year contract worth €5 million per year, including bonuses.
However, the two clubs are still negotiating the transfer fee and the players to be included in the deal.
Weston McKennie was initially included in the deal, but his high salary demands have priced him out of a move to Aston Villa.
As a result, Juventus and Aston Villa are now discussing the possibility of including Enzo Barrenechea in the deal, along with Samuel Iling Jr.
Barrenechea is an Argentine midfielder who has just returned from a loan spell at Frosinone. He is keen on the move to Aston Villa, and the two clubs are reportedly close to agreeing on a deal.
In addition to Iling Jr. and Barrenechea, Juventus will also pay Aston Villa €25 million in cash. The total value of the deal is expected to be around €60 million, which is the amount that Aston Villa is asking for.
Juventus are confident of closing the deal and are reportedly in regular contact with Aston Villa to finalize the remaining details.
The deal will have a significant impact on Juventus’ finances. The club will record a capital gain of €36.1 million on the deal, and they will also save money on wages and amortization.
However, they will also have to pay Douglas Luiz a significant salary.
Overall, the Douglas Luiz to Juventus deal is a complex one that is still being negotiated. However, it is clear that the two clubs are close to agreeing on a deal, and Luiz is set to become a Juventus player in the near future.
