Juventus is on the hunt for a new striker after failing to secure their initial targets. The club attempted to sign Joshua Zirkzee, but he appears to be heading to AC Milan instead.
Talks with Mateo Retegui and Victor Boniface also stalled, leaving them likely to remain with their current clubs.
This turn of events makes Alvaro Morata a potential option again. Morata desires a move away from Atletico Madrid after seeing his playing time decrease towards the end of the season.
Atletico’s pursuit of additional strikers further suggests he’s not part of their long-term plans at 32. In an interview with Calciomercato.com, Morata expressed his desire to return to Italy for family reasons.
Juventus, along with four other Serie A clubs, attempted to sign him last year, but Morata opted to stay in Spain. His past experience with Juventus could make them a more attractive option compared to other suitors.
Roma, also seeking an attacking reinforcement, has contacted Morata’s agent. They are currently pursuing Federico Chiesa. However, according to Nicolò Schira, Juventus is still monitoring the Spanish forward.
With Arkadiusz Milik injured and Moise Kean reportedly likely departing for Fiorentina, Juventus requires another striker.
Morata emerges as a potential solution after other options fell through. Although Juventus explored numerous strikers, Morata might be the answer they need.
