Daniele Rugani will almost definitely leave Juventus this window, reports Alfredo Pedulla. This comes after he recently extended his contract to stay at the club until 2026.
However, circumstances have changed due to the recent managerial change. Now Juventus are looking to sign new player such as Riccardo Calafiori, Teun Koopmeiners.
Thiago Motta and Cristiano Giuntoli see the depth in the centre back position and a few of these players as unneeded. Originally Federico Gatti was going to leave mainly down to the decision of Giuntoli.
However, Motta has decided he would like to keep Gatti due to his personalities. Now it will likely be Rugani joining Dean Huijsen on the list to be sold.
Rugani has had three clubs how have mainly been linked to signing him. Rugani has been offered a contract from Al-Shabab in the Saudi Pro League. He got Ajax chasing his signing alongside Genoa how would like to keep him in Italy.
Al-Shabab
Al-Shabab have offered Rugani contracts that are around 5 too 6 million euros per year. This is a part of Saudi clubs trying to improve and bring fans into their league. They have bought in players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and N’golo Kante.
Saudi clubs are offering more because of the difference in lifestyle. Due to this Rugani could turn down their offer and stay to Europe. It is very hard to adapt so it could push Rugani towards other clubs.
Ajax and Genoa
Juventus and Ajax have been in talks over the sale of Daniele Rugani for a while now. This is due to current Ajax manager Francesco Farioli being a fan of Rugani.
However, the Dutch side don’t want to commit to spending a lot of Rugani which has slowed the deal.
Rugani could find a move to Ajax more suitable as it would be a better lifestyle then Saudi. But Ajax would play a lot less than any Saudi side.
Which could lead him deciding to move there. But if he really wanted to live the same lifestyle, he could settle for a move to Genoa which will always be a club to watch around his signing.
