Cristiano Giuntoli is grappling with a complex transfer market. The situation on the attacking flanks is no exception, a department that will be of fundamental importance for the future of Juventus.
The latest idea, not entirely new, is to sign Jadon Sancho of Manchester United, according to Ilbianconero.
Sancho, after a six-month loan at Borussia Dortmund, will return to Manchester but probably only in transit. His future is far from the Red Devils and Juventus have entered the race.
Giuntoli had already tried to sign him in January and was very close to completing the deal. It would be an important signing for the Bianconeri. But would the arrival of the Englishman exclude the permanence of Federico Chiesa?
The answer is no. Juve, regardless of what happens with Chiesa, is moving on the market for attacking wingers. This is demonstrated by the attempt for Felipe Anderson, the surveys for Greenwood and now the return of interest in Sancho.
If the season started today, Thiago Motta would only have Yildiz, Soulé and Chiesa available on the flanks. Iling Junior is indeed almost on the verge of leaving, Kostic is on the market and the doubts about Weah, both on his position on the pitch and on his future, will have to be resolved.
There is the timing to consider as well. As reported, Chiesa will wait until the end of the European Championship and only then will he think concretely about the future.
It could be a situation in the balance for some time to come, but in the meantime the Juve management will not stand still waiting for Federico.
At Continassa, work continues to make an attacking winger available to Motta for his 4-2-3-1 (or 4-3-3). Chiesa will be discussed later.
