Juventus eye double Albanians as transfer targets
Published
2 weeks agoon
Juventus scouts will be in attendance at the Westfalenstadion tonight as Italy faces Albania in their opening Euro 2024 match.
Alongside Bianconeri players Federico Chiesa, Federico Gatti, Nicolò Fagioli, and Andrea Cambiaso, the Juventus representatives will also be keeping a close eye on two Albanian players who have caught the club’s attention: Mario Mitaj and Armando Broja.
Mario Mitaj, a 20-year-old winger for Lokomotiv Moscow with a Greek-Albanian passport, has impressed Juventus with his ability to play across the entire flank with confidence and personality.
Despite his young age, Mitaj has already shown great promise and could be a valuable addition to the Juventus squad.
According to Tuttosport, Armando Broja, a Chelsea striker, has also emerged as a target for Juventus.
The Bianconeri view Broja as a potential deputy for Dusan Vlahovic, or perhaps even more depending on the Serbian striker’s recovery from a cruciate ligament injury that halted his progress just as Thomas Tuchel was planning to make him a key player for Chelsea.
With Broja now back in action, Juventus are aware that they are not the only club interested in the Albanian forward, with Milan also monitoring the situation. As a result, the Bianconeri are keen to act quickly and could explore a loan deal with Chelsea.
This would benefit both clubs, as Broja would have ample opportunities to showcase his talent in black and white amidst a packed schedule of matches.
Despite only scoring two goals this season, Broja’s inclusion in the Albania squad has raised eyebrows. However, Albania head coach Sylvinho, like Juventus, believes in Broja’s potential.
Juventus’ pursuit of Broja is likely to face competition from other clubs, including AC Milan. The Bianconeri will need to act swiftly and decisively if they are to secure the signature of the talented Albanian striker.
