Juventus has decided to sell Federico Chiesa

According to Matteo Moretto on X Juventus are looking to sell Federico Chiesa this window. This as the club looks to sign more players and see him as unneeded. They are looking to sign players such as Khepren Thuram, Teun Koopmeiners and Riccardo Calafiori.

Thiago Motta was the decision maker in Chiesa being sold as he is out of his project. This is because the club can use other players in Chiesa’s role. As well Chiesa contract runs out at the end of next season and the club can’t see a resigning as possible. They want to sell him now so Juventus can buy more players.

Who will buy Chiesa

Federico Chiesa has been linked to 3 clubs who could sign him. The two clubs in Italy are Napoli and Roma. These two are closer than the third club Bayern Munich which is merely a rumour of a swap deal. There have been previous rumours to Premier League clubs, but these have died down since last season.

Napoli can now become unlikely due to Giovanni Di Lorenzo. Di Lorenzo has decided to stay in Naples now which could slow this deal. Chiesa was meant to be used in a swap deal for Di Lorenzo however, Napoli probably won’t pay the 40 million flat for him. This could mean the deal is off for a while.

Fali Ramadani who is Chiesa’s agent has had meetings with Roma and mainly Daniele De Rossi. De Rossi would like to sign Chiesa to help kick off Romas rebuild. The one point of pull Roma have is reuniting Chiesa with former teammate and friend Paulo Dybala who played together at Juventus.

Bayern offered Juventus a swap deal for Cheisa with Josuha Kimmich. Giuntoli would likely turn this down now even though Kimmich wants out of Munich due to the signing of Douglas Luiz. This is likely off the table now.  Liverpool and Newcastle where the main two premier league clubs looking to sign Chiesa but now both haven’t got interest as they look into other places.

How keeping Chiesa is possible

Teun Koopmeiners is one of the players who is going to be funded by Chiesa’s sale. The club can look for a cheaper option in Lazar Samardzic from Udinese and keep Chiesa. Chiesa sale will probably be sold for 35-40 million. Koopmeiners will cos 65 million in all likely hood and Samardzic is only 25 million which is 4o million less meaning Juventus can keep Chiesa if they choose to keep Fede.
