Dean Huijsen, a rising star in Juventus’ defensive ranks, could be on the verge of an exit.
The 19-year-old Dutch-born defender, who recently declared for the Spanish national team, has long been viewed as a potential linchpin in the Bianconeri’s transfer market strategy.
Now, with speculation swirling about his future, a bidding war between German clubs could see Huijsen depart Turin and provide Juventus with a significant financial windfall.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, German giants Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, and surprise contenders Stuttgart are all prepared to enter the fray for Huijsen’s signature.
This interest comes as no surprise. Huijsen impressed during his loan spell at AS Roma last season, solidifying himself as a regular starter and even contributing two goals in Serie A.
His performances haven’t gone unnoticed, with scouts across Europe praising his composure on the ball, aerial prowess, and ability to read the game.
Juventus values Huijsen at around €25-30 million, a hefty price tag that reflects his potential and the current market value for young, talented defender.
This sum would be a welcome injection of cash for the Bianconeri, who are reportedly keen to bolster other areas of their squad, particularly at center-back.
Names like Riccardo Calafiori and Teun Koopmeiners have been mentioned as potential targets for the funds generated by Huijsen’s sale.
However, the decision to sell Huijsen wouldn’t be without its risks. While his departure would ease immediate financial constraints, it could also leave Juventus with a gap in their defensive core.
