With the impending transfer of Riccardo Calafiori to Arsenal, Juventus is reportedly turning their attention to Jakub Kiwior as a potential replacement, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Kiwior, a left-footed defender with impressive technique and vision, shares similarities with Calafiori, making him an attractive target for the Bianconeri.
Kiwior’s talents first came to light during his time at Spezia, where he impressed under the guidance of both Thiago Motta and Luca Gotti.
His performances attracted the attention of several top clubs in Italy and Europe, with Arsenal eventually securing his services for a reported €25 million.
Kiwior’s versatility and ability to play both as a center-back and in midfield mirror those of Calafiori. This versatility was a key factor in Motta’s decision to utilize Kiwior in midfield at times.
With Calafiori’s departure to Arsenal likely, Juventus views Kiwior as an ideal replacement. The Bianconeri are reportedly prepared to offer around €15 million for the Polish defender.
A move to Juventus could prove beneficial for Kiwior’s development. Playing alongside experienced defenders at a club with Juventus’s stature could further enhance his skills and experience.
