With deals for Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa and Khephren Thuram from Nice already secured, Juventus is now focused on bringing in their final midfield reinforcement for Thiago Motta.
Their target is Teun Koopmeiners, a skilled attacking midfielder currently plying his trade for Atalanta.
Koopmeiners’ attacking prowess is evident in his 15 goals last season across the Serie A and Coppa Italia competitions. His ability to make incisive runs into the box makes him a valuable asset in the final third.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri are actively pursuing the Dutch midfielder. Their optimism has been boosted by Koopmeiners missing the European Championships in Germany due to injury.
Atalanta has placed a €60 million valuation on Koopmeiners, but the expected offers from Premier League clubs have not materialized.
Juventus holds an advantage in the form of a pre-agreement with Bart Baving, the player’s agent, for a contract worth €4 million per season plus bonuses.
The remaining challenge lies in convincing Atalanta to part ways with their midfielder with the Bianconeri expected to make an offer in the coming hours.
