Juventus have completed the signing of French midfielder Khephren Thuram from Nice for a fee of €20 million plus bonuses.
The 23-year-old, who is the son of former Juventus defender Lilian Thuram and the younger brother of Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram, has signed a five-year contract with the Bianconeri.
Thuram had been linked with a move to Juventus for several months, with the Old Lady keen to add another midfielder to their squad.
He had one year remaining on his contract with Nice, and the French club were reluctant to let him go for free.
However, Juventus were able to negotiate a deal for a relatively low fee, with Thuram’s willingness to join the club playing a key role in the negotiations.
Thuram is a versatile midfielder who can play in a number of positions, and he is expected to provide competition for places in Juventus’ midfield.
Thuram has signed a five-year contract with Juventus, which will keep him at the club until 2029. He will earn a salary of €2.5 million per season.
