Michele Di Gregorio is set to join Juventus as medicals and signing a contract that will bind him to the Bianconeri for the next few years are imminent.
This move, which has been in the works for over a month, has pushed Wojciech Szczesny out of the Juventus picture.
Szczesny, as he stated in a recent interview, has “understood” the club’s decision and is therefore open to leaving. But where will he go?
Szczesny’s Possible Destinations
Szczesny seemed on the verge of joining Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, with the club offering the Pole a lucrative two-year contract. However, the deal has stalled in recent weeks and is now at risk of collapsing altogether.
Recent reports, including those from Fabrizio Romano, suggest that the Saudi club has decided to focus on Ederson instead. The goalkeeper is in talks with Al Nassr and has received the green light from Manchester City.
The English club is awaiting the first official offer.
Monza as an Option
This situation is directly linked to Szczesny’s future; the reason for the delay in his move to Saudi Arabia is Al Nassr’s pursuit of the Brazilian.
In any case, Szczesny’s future will not be at Juve, even though a new solution will now have to be found.
In recent days, rumors linking him with Monza have intensified, with Adriano Galliani deflecting questions about the goalkeeper. The main sticking point is his salary, which will not be easy for Monza to match.
Szczesny, who has a contract with Juve until 2025, earns over €6 million net per season. These figures are well above Monza’s financial capabilities.
The situation is evolving, but one thing is certain: Di Gregorio will soon be officially the new starting goalkeeper for Juve.
