PSG are pushing to strengthen their defense and believe Dean Huijsen could be the answer.
They are looking to bolster their defensive lineup due to injuries to current players such as Presnel Kimpembe, Lucas Hernandez, and Milan Skriniar.
They are also hopeful to sign the hot prospect Leny Yoro and a striker due to the departure of Kylian Mbappe. Huijsen would be part of PSG’s plan to rebuild the club with seven less expensive players.
Value
These rumors are based on the French paper L’Equipe. They report that PSG values Huijsen at 20 million euros. This could be an issue as Juventus values him at at least 30 million euros.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, three Bundesliga clubs are also interested in Huijsen: Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich, and Stuttgart.
This interest could lead Juventus to create a bidding war to gauge the true market interest in Huijsen.
His value increased after a 6-month loan spell at AS Roma, which is why Juventus sees him as worth closer to 30 million euros.
Other Options
If Juventus can’t agree on a fee with any of these clubs, Huijsen could be used in a swap deal.
Juventus might consider swapping Huijsen and around 30 million euros for Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta, as Atalanta is a fan of the Dutch central defender.
Huijsen could halve his value since Atalanta sees Koopmeiners as worth 60 million euros.
PSG could also move for another Dutch center-back, Lutsharel Geertruida from PSV, as an alternative if a deal for Huijsen cannot be completed.
Geertruida could be a cheaper option since it appears that only PSG has shown interest in him, with no interest from Bundesliga clubs.
