Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot’s future at the club remains uncertain as contract talks between the player and the Bianconeri have stalled.
Rabiot’s current contract expires at the end of the season, and he has yet to agree to an extension.
Juventus have offered him a two-year deal with an option for a third year at his current salary of €7.5 million per year, but Rabiot is reportedly not convinced by the offer.
According to Tuttosport, Rabiot and his mother-agent, Veronique, are using the French national team’s free day on Wednesday to take stock of the situation.
They have not received any other offers, so it is likely that they will continue to wait until after the European Championship to make a decision.
Meanwhile, Juventus are continuing to pursue other midfield targets, including Khephren Thuram and Teun Koopmeiners.
The Bianconeri are confident that they can sign Thuram, and they would also be interested in Koopmeiners if Rabiot were to leave.
Rabiot’s decision on his future will have a big impact on Juventus’ transfer plans this summer.
If he decides to stay, the Bianconeri will be able to focus on other areas of the squad. However, if he leaves, they will need to find a replacement for him in midfield.
