Forget the gossip: My dream transfer window for Juventus

2 months agoon
Juventus is gearing up for a busy transfer window, with rumors swirling about a new manager and several potential player acquisitions.
However, let’s set aside the current buzz and delve into my ideal scenario for the club’s moves. While much of this aligns with reported links to Juventus, I’m tailoring it to my preferences, setting a starting budget of 40 million euros plus any revenue from player sales.
Sales:
To kick things off, I propose offloading some surplus players. Filip Kostic could fetch between 10 to 15 million euros, Federico Gatti around 20 to 30 million euros, Moise Kean for 20 million, and Milik for another 10 million euros.
These individuals don’t seem integral to our future plans, so parting ways with them would free up space for promising talents. Additionally, I advocate against renewing Alex Sandro’s contract, thus releasing him from the squad.
Loans:
In terms of loans, I believe Tiago Djalo could benefit from a six-month stint elsewhere to acclimate to Serie A, particularly if Juventus finds itself in a tight title race where every match counts. Sending him to a club like Sassuolo could provide invaluable experience.
Moreover, either Hans Nicolussi Caviglia or Fabio Miretti could benefit from a year-long loan to gain playing time. While it’s uncertain if we have the depth to loan out both, I’m wary of having one player languish on the bench needlessly.
Signings:
Taking into account the funds generated from sales and our initial budget, we’d have around 110 million euros at our disposal. My first target would be Michele Di Gregorio, whose acquisition for 5 million euros plus Mattia Perin would bolster our squad. While this move has been rumored, I see potential in Di Gregorio.
Assuming Lazar Samardzic comes for free:
If Lazar Samardzic’s acquisition hinges on Udinese’s fate, being available for free if they’re relegated but costing 25 million euros if they stay up, let’s consider both scenarios.
With approximately 105 million euros remaining, I propose signing Josuha Zirkzee and Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna, a combined investment of around 75 million euros. This would leave us with 15 million euros.
With this remaining sum, I suggest securing Tiago Santos from Lille for 10 million euros and pursuing either Luka Modric or Luis Alberto on a free transfer.
While Modric’s availability is uncertain, Alberto seems a feasible option. Furthermore, I’d aim to make a push for Zeno Debast, valued at 16 million euros, utilizing our remaining budget of 15 million euros.
If Lazar Samardzic costs 25 million:
In the event Samardzic’s acquisition costs 25 million euros, we’d have around 80 million euros left. In this scenario, I prioritize signing Zirkzee and Calafiori. With the final 5 million euros, we could bring in either Modric or Alberto, with Alberto being the more realistic target.
In summary, these proposed moves aim to strengthen Juventus for the upcoming season while staying within a reasonable budget and targeting players who align with our vision for the future.
