Vlahovic to PSG: Agreements reached, Juventus waiting on Mbappé’s departure

Agreements has been reached between the entourage of Dusan Vlahovic and Paris Saint-Germain. The deal, worth a reported €70 million, seemed to be all set for Juventus as well, according to Corriere dello Sport.
However, the completion of the transfer is contingent upon the departure of PSG’s star player, Kylian Mbappé. This dependency may extend the timeline by at least a couple of weeks.
Although, if PSG’s promising young talent, Ekitike, were to leave instead, the process could be expedited. Regardless, a quick resolution is not expected within a mere 3-4 days, barring any unforeseen developments.
The negotiations surrounding Dusan Vlahovic’s transfer have been ongoing for some time, with several top European clubs expressing interest in the Serbian striker. However, it appears that PSG has emerged as the frontrunner in the race to secure his services.
With a reported agreement in place between Vlahovic’s representatives and the French giants, it seemed that a move to PSG was imminent.
Yet, the deal has hit a stumbling block due to the complex dynamics involving Kylian Mbappé’s potential departure from PSG.
The French forward has been a subject of intense speculation, with rumors linking him to several top clubs across Europe with Real Madrid the favourite to secure his service this summer should he leave.
Should Mbappé leave PSG, the completion of Vlahovic’s transfer to Juventus would be facilitated. However, the process of Mbappé’s exit may take additional time, thereby delaying the finalization of Vlahovic’s move.
Interestingly, there is a possibility that PSG could opt to sell Ekitike, a highly regarded young talent, instead of Mbappé.
Such a decision could significantly expedite the transfer process, allowing Juventus to finalize Vlahovic’s acquisition sooner than expected. However, concrete details regarding this alternative scenario are yet to emerge.
Dusan Vlahovic joined Juventus in January 2020 from Fiorentina in a deal worth €81.60 million. He has played 63 games for the Bianconeri across all competitions, scoring 23 goals and providing six assists.
