Juventus midfielder Leandro Paredes has reportedly clashed with coach Massimiliano Allegri over his limited playing time during a training session held on Easter Monday.
According to Italian sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the Argentinean player confronted Allegri and then skipped the team’s lunch.
The incident has fueled speculation about Paredes’ future at Juventus, where he has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter since joining on loan from Paris Saint-Germain in 2022.
With only five starts in 18 league appearances, the Argentine has been a disappointment for the club.
The report suggests that Juventus will not exercise their option to buy Paredes from PSG, and that they are looking to sign Italian midfielder Marco Frattesi from Sassuolo instead.
The club will also welcome back midfielder Nicolo Rovella from his loan spell at Monza. The 21-year-old has been impressive in Serie A this season, scoring his first goal in the league against Udinese last week.
Rovella is considered one of the brightest prospects in Italian football and his return could provide Allegri with more options in midfield.
