Report: Everton expresses interest in Juventus defender Federico Gatti

English Premier League club Everton has reportedly expressed interest in the possibility of signing Italian defender Federico Gatti during the upcoming transfer window.
Gatti, who is currently contracted to Italian giants Juventus until 2027, has struggled for playing time in early this season, however, he has been playing from the beginning recently.
According to Tuttojuve, Juventus has no intention of letting go of the talented defender, but may consider an offer if it is deemed appropriate.
It is believed that Everton has tabled a bid in the region of 10 million euros, which is substantially lower than Juventus’ asking price of 30 million euros.
Despite the disparity in valuation, Juventus sees Gatti as a valuable asset to the club’s future plans. The Italian club is keen on retaining the defender’s services and has reportedly rejected Everton’s initial offer.
The 24-year-old Gatti joined Juventus from Italian club Frosinone in 2022 after winning player of the season award in Serie B and has made only a handful of appearances for the club since then.
Everton is currently on the lookout for reinforcements in their defensive unit and sees Gatti as a potential solution to their problem.
