Italian football giants Juventus have announced that two of their star players, Leonardo Bonucci and Paul Pogba, underwent medical examinations on Saturday morning.
According to a statement released by the club, Bonucci suffered a contusive trauma to his left leg while Pogba sustained a low-grade injury to the adductor muscle of his right thigh.
The examinations were carried out at J|Medical, the club’s medical center, and Pogba has already begun the rehabilitation process aimed at resuming athletic activity. His progress will be monitored by the medical team.
Bonucci’s condition will also be monitored daily as he recovers from his injury.
The news comes as a blow to Juventus, who are currently competing for the top four in the Italian Serie A and the UEFA Europa League.
Bonucci and Pogba are both key players for the team, and their absence could affect the club’s performance in upcoming matches.
However, the club has not yet announced how long the players are expected to be out of action, but some reports from Italy claimed that Paul Pogba will be out for around 20 to 30 days.
